Vice President of Chapter Development

Olivia McCurdy

Olivia McCurdy currently serves as the Vice President of Chapter Development for the PRSSA National Committee. During her term, she will complete her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Digital Arts & Culture (DAC) & Journalism, Advertising, & Media Studies with concentrations in Advertising/Public Relations & Media Studies (JAMS-Ad&PR/MS). She will also complete an Honors Degree with Distinction through the Honors College at UWM.

In addition to being on the PRSSA National Committee, Olivia holds various leadership positions on her campus. She will serve as the Vice President of Philanthropy & Scholarship for the Panhellenic Council at UWM and Belonging, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (BEDI) Chairwoman for Gamma Phi Beta - Gamma Gamma until December 2024 and as the Secretary for Planned Parenthood Generation Action at UWM and an Officer for the DAC Student Council until May 2025. Olivia is also a proud member of the Ad Club at UWM, the Honors Equity Team at UWM, Alpha Lambda Delta Academic Honor Society & Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society.

Olivia works part-time as the Student Lead for the Copywriting & Social Media Team at UWM’s Union Marketing, an on-campus department dedicated to primarily helping the Division of Student Affairs & student organizations market various activities, events & services to students. As the student lead, Olivia oversees the team & coordinates efforts to achieve cohesive & effective communication strategies. She has also worked with the Office of Undergraduate Research at UWM through the Support for Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF) Program as an Undergraduate Student Researcher. Olivia has also had the opportunity to intern with the Off-Campus Resource Center at UWM as their Social Media Intern, the Springfield Youth Performance Group (SYPG) as their Marketing & Community Outreach Intern & Milwaukee World Festival’s Summerfest as their Digital Marketing Intern.

When she’s not in class or at a club meeting, you can often find Olivia bullet journaling with an iced oat caramel latte at a local coffee shop, dancing to Taylor Swift songs in her room or taking leisurely walks while listening to her Spotify Daylist. She enjoys watching women’s college basketball, doordashing Chipotle, building legos with her partner and designing all forms of digital & print media on Canva. Olivia is a huge swiftie and has seen Taylor Swift 5 times; she hopes to see her again soon as she releases more music.
